Remembering the love
My heart broke when I got the email from Abigail. Even though I didn´t know Joey, I could feel her pain through the email message. Through Abby´s words on the paper, through the heartfelt message she sent me, her heart had just been shattered. My heart went out to her,..
With these words, she remembers this love in her life:
“I woke up this morning and found my 9-year-old aussie/red heeler mix laying in my hallway – she died in her sleep last night. She wasn´t showing any signs of illness and seemed fine when I went to bed last night but when I went to let her out this morning, I discovered…
She was one of my very best friends. My dad gave her to me when she was a puppy. She has lived in four different states with me and has been my shoulder to cry on through countless relationships. She was a great jogging partner, an amazing babysitter when I got a new puppy several years ago and the best road-trip companion. I couldn´t have asked for a better dog and already miss her so much.”
Holding you close, Abby. And, honoring Joey and what she meant in your world.
Rest in Peace, Joey. Rest in peace.
